The University of Leeds Innocence Project is dedicated to assisting successful appeals in cases of wrongful conviction.

Mission Statement

UoLIP is an educational project promoting enterprise skills for undergraduate students. Through investigative work into real cases where wrongful convictions are suspected, UoLIP endeavours to ensure such cases are successfully brought to the attention of the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC). The Project provides students with opportunity to develop their creativity, while honing skills in communication and innovation; teamwork; negotiation; resource management; and networking.
